BLUR MOSAIC
a) a png image or a tube that you like
b) a font that you like;
I used Sloop Script Three that you can download here
Open a new 800 x 800 image, transparent background
Open your tube, resize it if necessary.
Edit - Copy your tube as a new layer. Rename this layer "tube1".
Layers – Duplicate
Rename the duplicate layer "tube2" and make it invisible
4
Return
to your “tube1” layer
Effects
- Plugins - Toadies - Plain Mosaic Blur with these settings:
5
With
your Magic Wand (Tolerance and Progressivity at 0), select the grid cells (using
the capitals key to add some cells if this is the case)
and
delete with the scisors or your Delete key
6
In
your Materials and Textures, Foreground with
one
of PSP gold gradient - I used this one (Corel_06_017):
Flood
fill the grid cells
Do
not deselect
7
Effects
- 3D Effects - Drop Shadow Vert 0, Hor 2, Opacity 70, Blur 4 with color black
Deselect and reduce the opacity of this layer to 75%
8
Activate
the “tube2” layer and resize it to 75% (uncheck Resize all layers)
With
the Move tool place on the bottom left side
Effects
- 3D Effects - Drop Shadow with the same settings as before
9
Highlight
the bottom empty layer
Layers
- Arrange - Bring to top
Rename
this layer "text"
Select
the Sloop Script Three font
(or
another font of your choice) Size 160 - Mode Vector
(or
a size that will suit you) Stroke Width at 1
Background
with gold gradient and Foreground with a color from your image
Float
and antialias checked
Enter
your text, using the vector dots to size it as you like
and
placing it using the Move tool
Effects
- 3D Effects - Drop Shadow with the same settings as before
Selections
- Select none
10
Layers
- Merge - Merge visible layers
Now,
you can save this as a png image, a tube or you can add a color background and use
this as an image that you can frame.
It
is a fun tutorial that can serve many purposes!
I
hope that you enjoyed making it and that it will be useful.
Once
again, a big Thank you to Julia.
