PAINT SHOP PRO

MY TUTORIALS

BLUE JEANS

This is my own creation and I have made this with PSPX5.
You will not need any other program other than your PSP, whatever version that you have.  I used a typical blue jean color and made a gradient with it that you can in the zipped Materials. Decompress and save it in 'My PSP Files' under your Gradients folder.

I have also used the font 'Sabrina' in an example below; you can find it here.
All you have to do is download it and install it in your Fonts.
You can also use any other font that you like, play with the line style, using the dotted lines or sewing lines, whatever you like. Have fun!!

Ready? Let's go!!

 1
Open a new transparent image of 700 x 700 pixels

2
For your Foreground color, use the Pspgradient 'Bleu-denim-lc' from the Materials

-or-
the gradient of your choice, using any blue color in the gradients of your PSP
Angle 135 and 265 repeats
In your Background color, use white color

3
Flood fill the image
Add Noise into your image
Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add with the following settings:
Gaussian - 20% - check Monochrome

4
With your Paint tool, add a washing effect with
the PSP brush Marble 3, Foreground color white - Size 300 - Opacity 10
Click here and there in the image to give a washed blue jeans effect

Now, you can use this technique to make frames, fill in a selection
in a layer, the uses are various and to your imagination.
Here are a few examples of what you can do with this technique of making denim:

Sign and save as a jpg or save as a pattern in your 'My PSP Files' under the Pattern folder

 That's it, we are done!!

I hope that you enjoyed making this tutorial as much as I had fun making it!
Send me your creation here and I will gladly add it in my gallery! This tutorial has been updated from its original publication on December 3, 2013
